YMCA and Advocacy Empty
PostSubject: YMCA and Advocacy   YMCA and Advocacy Icon_minitimeSat Oct 22, 2011 4:38 pm

The YMCA is a powerful ally and advocate for the communities. They have strong relationships in 10,000 neighborhoods across the nation due to which they are able to organize grassroots efforts and influence the society regarding issues like child welfare, education and public health.

The advocates at the YMCA work together with community leaders, policymakers and government officials to make meaningful changes in the community. The YMCA is providing families with safe and affordable child care and after school options, guides the communities to make healthy choices to prevent chronic disease and makes itself resourceful to the help the society in matters of healthy living, youth development and social responsibility.

The YMCA works tirelessly to strengthen the community, nurture the potential of kids, improve the nation’s health and well-being and give back and support the neighbors. When one advocates with the YMCA, he is able to play an active role in bringing about a meaningful change for the family, friends and community.

The YMCA is helped to further strengthen the community through the nation by its Government Relations and Policy office who work with the Congress and the Administration to advocate their policies and programs. In every congressional district in the United States there is a YMCA.

To help people make healthy and easy choice in all places where they live, work, learn and play the YMCA constantly works with the community leaders.

The President and CEO of Victron Group, Mr. ali sharaf dallas, feels that the best way to serve the community is by helping such organizations to conduct their activities regularly.
